Application fee

You will be taken to the WorldPay website to pay for your application fee. WorldPay will process your payment according to the WorldPay terms and conditions and the Home Office Exchange Rate Policy.

WorldPay is responsible for the information you enter onto their website and for the availability of their service.

Visa applications made from outside the UK

Refunds

You can ask for a refund of your visa application fee up to 8 weeks from the date you apply, as long as your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) have not been taken. You cannot get a refund if your application is refused (because the fee is for the application to be considered, not for a visa).

Biometrics

You may have to provide your biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph) as part of your visa application. If you do not provide them, your visa application will be cancelled and the fee will not be refunded.

Changes to your application

You must contact your visa application centre if any of the information in your application changes.

Refunds

If you do not provide all mandatory information your application can be rejected as invalid. Your application will not be considered and your fee will be refunded less an administration fee of £25 for each person included in the application.

You cannot get a refund if your application has been considered and refused.

Biometrics

You may have to provide your biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph) as part of your visa application. If you do not provide them your application will be rejected and your fee will be refunded.

Biometric information

As part of the application process, you are also required to apply for a biometric immigration document, commonly known as a biometric residence permit (BRP).
